Planning a Close Reading Lesson Step-by-Step: Grades 3-6

This workshop offers participants the opportunity to expand their expertise in developing close reading lessons in grades 3 through 6. Participants will develop a step-by-step lesson plan while engaging in reading, viewing, and discussing the preparation of a close reading lesson. Participation in this online workshop will prepare educators to develop effective CSSS-aligned close reading lessons by analyzing complex text, developing text-dependent questions, and identifying supportive resources and practices to deepen comprehension and foster student independence.

When all requirements are met for completion of this workshop, participants will receive 30 professional development hours.
